August 2010- We are pleased to announce our very successful project for this year! Handog Natin Charity Organization was able to conduct the “ Anti-Malaria” Campaign Medical Mission and Outreach Program for the ‘Mangyan’ Tribe from Sitio Niogan San Vicente, Abra- de- Ilog, Occidental Mindoro last July 2010 through the coordinated efforts from the Tribe’s Missionary leaders Daniel and Michelle Bas, Medical volunteers and Handog Natin’s very own, Abel and Iris Lim and Mrs Aurora ‘Baby’ Lopez and friends.
We were able to purchase Anti- Malarial Medicines and kits, Antibiotics and others meds that are essential to the Tribe’s need. Malaria Blood-testing and check ups were conducted at the site and a hundred “Kulambo at Kumot” (Mosquito nets & Blankets) were given away along with hundreds of canned sardines and noodles. We hope that through this event, we can help minimize the prevalence of Malaria outbreaks in this area and provide them with more information and precautions.
Handog Natin would like to thank all those who made this project a success and we encourage everyone to partake in this organization and help our “Kababayans” (countrymen) back home through these programs.
