They were treated with bagful of goodies including tin food, bags of rice, toiletries and toys for the children and others. Special thanks goes to the Management, nurses and staff of this hospital headed by Director, Dr Supicio Henry Legaspi. This would have not been possible if not for the help of our volunteers headed by Michael and Beverly Lualhati with assistance from Emma, Barangay Captain, Marvie Binaho and Barangay Kagawads of Barangay 2, Fortich Street, Malaybalay Bukidnon. The patients were very thankful to all those who made this possible. Merry Christmas!!
Handog Natin First Scholar
April 2008...Our very first scholar goes to John Paul Vela, a native of Bulacan and is currently on his 2nd year college taking up Hotel and Restaurant Management. He was the lucky recepient of our College Scholarship Grant amongst 3 other candidates after being voted by HN members. John Paul, the eldest of the three siblings works part-time as a waiter to support his studies and to help his mother, a vendor to feed the rest of the family. He shows enthusiasm in his studies which reflects on his grades and perseveres in his job despite their family's hardships.
This has been possible through the help of Fr. Dennis Espejo of Bulacan who initiated a Mission College within the University of Regina Carmeli in San Rafael,Bulacan and in coordination with CARITAS, Malolos Bulacan through their project PAMANA(PAgtulong sa MAhihirap na NAg-aaral) in their bid to help indigent students finish their college in spite of poverty. Handog Natin would like to thank all those who make this project possible and ask all those who are interested to join us in this charity in reaching out to our fellowmen. we further ask for your donation to help us carry out the rest of our programs and continue supporting John Paul finish his education.....Maraming Salamat Po!
